An antique French egg cup resting on three legs with acanthus leaf motifs. A decorative band encircles the egg holder with more acanthus leaves. The egg cup has been engraved with the name “Lise”.

Very good quality silver with nice weight. I have recently listed several egg cups. Please use the search box in my shop to view egg cups that are available. Re-purpose your silver egg cups in other ways, perfect for holding small chocolates on a guest nightstand, holding rings by the sink, or for small flower arraignments. Always be sure to use a small cup inside the holder for the water and ends of flowers as the decay from the stems will etch into silver.
French, C 1900, marked with the French Minerve mark for first standard .950 (used after 1838) along with the maker’s punch which is being researched.
