This is a quite rare armchair designed by Giò Ponti for Cassina in the 50s.
This model was originally designed as a naval piece of furniture.
The high standards of this historical company when it comes to pick material to create new pieces allowed this armchair to be in perfect condition now, even after 70 years.
In the last 20 years this model appeared rarely, not more than 3/4 times, but never in such perfect condition, which makes it an amazing piece for collectors of historical design.
It is a vintage piece, therefore it might show slight traces of use, but it can be considered as in excellent original condition and ready to become a piece in a home.
It is solid, with no flaws and with its original velvet fabric, which is in mint condition.
