This painted tin box has so much wonderful character from a century of practical use. It has handles and perforated holes on either side. The hinges for the top have broken, so the top is loose. The box and top are strong and ready to be used for storage or as a decorative item.
Deirdre’s Bio:
This comes from the archives of Deirdre Coughlin, founder of Phoebe’s Closet. She specializes in antique textiles and sold them to many New York City Designers including Ralph Lauren (that’s how I know her,) Charlotte Moss, Martha Stewart, and Schumacher, among many others.
