There are sporadic pencil scribbles throughout the book and some staining on 2 pages (photo included). The spine is intact and no pages are missing or loosened. Pages are yellowed from age. Only one (small) bent page. Considering its age it’s in really good condition. less

It is a nice green color with white lettering. It is a "Library Edition" which includes some revisions of the original work published in 1871 by Edward Eggleston. It is a historical fiction novel of life in rural Indiana based on the author’s brother’s time as a schoolmaster. It includes the speech dialect and slang popular during the late 1800s. Book is 281 pages.
