In this work, Saint Joseph, identified by the flowering wand, is shown standing with the Child in his lap. Saint Joseph and the Child appear in the foreground, occupying most of the pictorial surface, on a neutral and dark background. The faces are also strongly illuminated, leaving the rest in darkness, creating subtle shadows and expressive plays of chiaroscuro. Warm colors have been used that reflect light and turn said painting, the scene represented into an image closer to the faithful, in good condition. Measurements: 104cm high x 82cm wide. See less
