These large thick doors were … Read more A beautiful pair of antique early 1900s Chinese elm courtyard doors with original iron hardware. These large thick doors were used as the front compound security gate in old city neighborhoods as well as rural areas in China. Made of elm, they are decorated with old iron strapping with a dark rusted patina. The doors have been sealed and have a rich chestnut color and fantastic patina. The wooden latches on the back make the doors 5" thick. These would be great for sliders or garden gates, a headboard or decorative panels. The doors alone are 84" tall and each door is 22" wide, 44" wide total. The hinge pin at the bottom will add another 1" in height. See less
