Good/Fair, attractively worn leather with patina, including scratches and darkening to areas. With some TLC with leather cleaner and conditioner this chair will look even more attractive and polished.

The artist Philip Pearlstein (1924-2022) was a leading light in American “New Realism” which developed alongside and in opposition to Pop Art. While Pearlstein embraced the tradition of painting the human figure, he came to represent a cool, objective and quite abstracted approach to the subject which made no concessions to the idealism of “the nude” but presented his subjects as naked, real people with no narrative beyond the canvas. less
