This antique Buddhist gilt bronze offering bowl appears to be of southeast Asian origin. Finely sculpted, it is covered with images of Buddha and much arcane imagery. We ave been advised that this bowl dates to at least the early 19th century and may be much older. It must have been used as a candle bowl at one time since the bottom of the interior is covered with old melted wax. A great antique object with outstanding design and ornamentation. Dimensions: Apprx. 14"H x 8.5"D (widest).
