Crafted in Continental Europe, most likely France or England, late 19th / early 20th century, in timeless Louis 15th style, featuring a solid wood case executed in sophisticated matched rosewood and mahogany veneers, highly figured burlwood panels, delicate cross-banding, and elaborate molding and carvings. Having an adjustable central lift-top that once housed a mirror, fitted with storage compartments to either side, over concealed pull-out slide extension, central knee hole flanked by a pair of drawers to either side, gently curved serpentine front, scalloped apron decorated with carved scrolled acanthus leaves, rising on short cabriole legs.

rustic distressed patina, elegant warmth and lustrous sheen. Strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. As-Is condition. Significant wear consistent with age and heavy use, including scattered nicks, chips, minor losses, buildup and worn finish. No longer has a mirror present. Evidence of old restorations. Delivered waxed, with hand rubbed polished patina finish, ready for use!
