Vienna, c.1880, the egg-shaped case surmounted by the figure of a putto, opening to reveal a brightly enamelled circular dial and bright enamel borders, the rock crystal engraved with stars, supported on a stem modelled as three dolphins, the circular base with four mask-form feet and inset with a rock crystal panel.
