We love this table for its design, character and versatility. You can close leaf down as entry console table or keep open for dining for 6. The gate leg hinge is a wood carved dowel and hinge as seen in photo. Open and close “gate” with care to avoid bending or twisting wooden doweled hinge. There is intentional striated stain variation on table top. Beautiful. Original mares, wear and patina left in tact. Clean and ready to use as is or could be professionally refinished. See less
