This was made by the highly regarded John Riddel & Sons, who are Ulster’s oldest family firms of silversmiths, being established in 1803, and is a heavy gauge of plate.
The decoration is second to none, with swags of flowers around the bowl and above the feet. It also has an equisite floral band on the top.
This is a rare survivor and would have belonged to a very wealthy family. This piece has an attribution mark,
