Mid 19th c., Austrian, cave à liqueur. A mahogany veneer case with mixed wood rope border inlay, opening to a fitted case with a red fabric lined interior. The case holds six gilt decorated decanters and two liqueur glasses, one gilt decorated. The case, which has a locking mechanism (key not retained), sits on brass feet.
This is a very attractive cave à liqueur. The squared off shape of the bottles is a lovely component and the gilt decoration on the stoppers adds an additional level of detail.
