Melamine became popular on many household products in the early 1950s (its been around a lot longer ) it came in any color, was hardwearing, easy cleaning and could be applied to most surfaces, Berry was the only furniture maker who Specialized in it and produced full ranges for the living room/kitchen and bedrooms....

Eight dovetailed drawers the top two on a floating plinth, Central Mirror tilts and the two outer rotate, Width can be adjusted to suit your size needs, this Piece is a pair of dressers with a Vanity table on top and as such offers a huge amount of storage space, Personally I think its a Super Cool piece of Retro bedroom furniture.....
