Description: This print was created by Roman artist, Marcella Morlacchi, who specializes in architectural drawings of Rome as well as colorized … more This print was created by Roman artist, Marcella Morlacchi, who specializes in architectural drawings of Rome as well as colorized versions of historical prints by famous artists. This particular view of Rome – Rome from Gianicolo Hill - is based on an original etching from 1765 by Giuseppe Vasi. Ms. Morlacchi reinterprets the historic original (black and white) and transforms it with her rich colors, such as the red of a royal crest, the burnt-orange rooves of Rome, the blue sky. On the left side of the print appears: 78/150, represented in Roman numerals. On the right is: Interpratazione cromatica [colored interpretation] in tecnica mista di Marcella Morlacchi – Roma, 1997. Signed in pencil and stamped. Unframed. Measures: 55”W x 24”L (rectangle). less
