This painting is one of the signature works of the late Russian painter Evgenii Tsarev (1947-2011) - Russian Primitivism.. Folk motifs, semi-pagan and semi-Christian traditions, folklore, folk wisdom, which the Russian village preserves, widely influenced his work. He never parted with the naïve perception of the world around him, his smile was always childishly timid.
His exhibitions were held in various cities throughout Russia and abroad. Evgenii's work can also be found in private collections and museums in Russia and abroad. less
