All the children seem to be dressed in white school uniforms while they frolic and play on the swings and monkey bars.

Leonard Creo was born in New York City, New York and after his military service in WWII, he returned home to New York and studied at The Art Students League. He studied under prominent artists, David Alfaro Siqueiros and Gutierrez, in Mexico where he developed his style and technique. This piece was purchased with some other Creo works in the late 1960/early 1970s by a prominent family in Scarsdale, New York.

The medium is oil paint on canvas.. The canvas is in good overall condition with no visible rips, tears, punctures, crazing or surface paint lossesStructurally sound. Signed lower right corner, Creo.

The framing treatment consists of a gilded chop and join cove molding with a white fillet molding. There is minor wear and losses to the gilded surface due to age.

The overall dimensions including the frame are 39.75" wide x 25.75" high x 3" deep. The canvas dimensions are 34" wide x 20" high. less
