This English School painting is superbly executed with exacting realism and fine anatomical detail, especially the horse’s coat and head. Of exceptional quality and condition, the work conveys a sense of grandeur and nobility. It is signed HL and dated 84 for 1884, in the lower left corner. Presented in the original swept giltwood frame.
