Originally part of a French oak wine barrel, dating to at least the 1950s (possibly older), this wine barrel head … more Originally part of a French oak wine barrel, dating to at least the 1950s (possibly older), this wine barrel head has been repurposed into a facade that is the perfect accessory for a bar area or wine room. The facade has been painted more recently with the appellation of a wine vineyard known as Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges, located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of eastern France. Additional painted designation indicates a particular bottle of the vineyard.

The tan wood has been painted with black lettering, including a “5” painted beneath the vineyard name. There is a brown production mark (put de tradition Francaise) encircling the spout hole with an oak leaf cluster. The edge is bound by two black iron straps and two rings of wooden sprigs. A visible red tint can be seen on the back, which is the result from years of absorbing wine sediment, making our wine barrel facade a charming addition to a kitchen, wine cellar, or bar area. less
