Conceived during the construction of the tent for the celebration of the 700th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation, this chair had to respond to a series of needs: easy to stack and to maintain and, above all, easy to arrange in rows on the occasion of shows and events.
Design classic, original Mario Botta for Alias 91 chair. This piece is a very stylisth original model, in beautiful black leather with a black metal frame. Gorgeous combination.
A very rare dining conference side chair, designed by Mario Botta for the San Fransisco Museum of Modern Arts. This unique chair is made of high quality black lacquered metal on a thin metal base, seat and back upholstered in black leather and nicely connected in the back. These chairs were used in the special events space of the museum designed by Botta.
Born in 1943 in Mendrisio, Switzerland, award-winning architect-designer Mario Botta has built an international reputation for striking postmodern public and private spaces that blend classical forms with a postmodern sensibility.
