*Giclee History:
The art of fine art printing has become even more precise with the revolutionary Giclee (zhee-clay) printing process. In the Giclee process, a fine stream of ink more than four million droplets per second is sprayed onto archival art paper or canvas. Since no screens are used in Giclee printing, the prints have a higher resolution than the lithographs and the dynamic color range is greater than serigraphy. The apparent resolution of the digital print is 1800 dots per square inch, which is higher than a traditional lithographic print and has a wider color gamut than serigraphy. Giclee prints render deep, saturated colors and have a beautiful painterly quality that retains minute detail, subtle tints and blends.
*Pacheco History:
As a painter, Pacheco's imaginative use of color and design along with his aggressive use of vivid, slashing, colorful patterns exude a sense of strength expressing the bold, gutsy, personal statements of a man who has immersed himself fully in life. Pacheco has the rare ability to transfer these experiences onto canvas through intense color and brushstrokes. His skills earned him the Gold Medal and First Prize in France and the First Prize, Best Colorist at Musee Du Luxembourg. Ferdie Pacheco, MD, has been called a Renaissance Man because of his career. He has been successful as a pharmacist, medical doctor, Fight Doctor in boxing, including working as a corner man for twelve world champions, including Muhammad Ali for seventeen years. Pacheco began drawing and painting at the age of five. His creative abilities continued through adolescence. At the age of fourteen, Pacheco realized that he wanted to become a doctor and began assisting in surgery. His passion for the arts continued through his health care training as his cartooning financed his medical education. Through medicine, he studied the human form and designed intensely colored pieces reflective of rich life experiences and profound academic curiosity. Painting remains his passion and his popularity is fast spreading to other countries within the Art World.
