This rare vintage 1976 " Treasures of Tutankhamun " iconic collector's large museum exhibition poster is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection. The original vintage exhibition poster is published by The Metropolitan Museum of Art New York, printed in 1976 in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the iconic exhibition. It features a photo image by Lee Boltin of " Selket, one of four goddesses protecting Tutankhamun's funerary equipment ". Poster design by Irwin Glusker.
Tutankhamun ( 1341 - 1323 BC ) was an Egyptian Pharaoh of The 18th Dynasty during the period of Egyptian history known as the New Kingdom. He has, since the discovery of his intact tomb, been referred to colloquially as King Tut. The 1922 discovery by Howard Carter of Tutankhamun's nearly intact tomb received worldwide attention. Relics from the tomb are among the most traveled artifacts in the world. The most well known exhibition tour was " Treasures of Tutankhamun " tour organized by The metropolitan Museum of Art. More than eight million viewers attended the exhibition which ran from 1976 to 1979.
