However, the dimensions differ significantly from the … more The striking wooden armchair is undoubtedly reminiscent of Gerrit Rietveld's "Red Blue Chair". However, the dimensions differ significantly from the original designed in 1918. In addition, the armrests are significantly wider and the backrest is significantly shorter than Rietveld’s chair. Nevertheless, it is precisely these details that we liked. Our armchair comes from the Netherlands and was probably made in the 1970s with limited craftsmanship. The fact that not all parts fit 100% parallel to one another makes the armchair an endearing unique piece. It was probably painted over several times by its previous owners and subsequently screwed on in a rather rudimentary manner. Seat height approx. 28cm. less
