Modest yet strong geometric forms in thick flat steel and round metal rod with a strong architectural appearance. Time has given the surface a nice structured oxidation, providing extra character. Interesting play of sharp lines which creates an exquisite three dimensional object, the circular shape brings the lines together and creates the desired contrast. The sculpture is different from every angle and throws nice shadows on it's surroundings. Signed at the bottom. Lascoumes graduated at the Académie des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux, this after he moved to Paris where he graduated at the U.F.R. d'Arts Plastiques de Paris. In good condition. less
