This stylish set of hand-colored aquatints of European cityscapes were acquired from an estate in Aurora, NY and date to … more This stylish set of hand-colored aquatints of European cityscapes were acquired from an estate in Aurora, NY and date to the early part of the 20th century.

1. Frame size 8.5h x 9.5w, imprint size 3.25h x 4.5w St Mark's Basilica seen from Plaza San Marco, Venice signed in the print and pencil signed in the print margin (undecipherable)

2. Frame size 9.25h x 11.63w imprint size 6h x 8.5w Trevi Fountain in Rome with WWI Army red cross ambulance trucks signed in pencil in the margin (Bertin?). Condition: note there is what may be a small moisture blemish in extreme upper right corner of the paper surface.

3. Frame size 7"h x 9"w, imprint size 3"hx5"w titled "Paris Notre Dame et le Quai de Montebello" (bookseller stalls) signed in pencil in the margin Garino(?). Angelo Garino is a listed artist (Italian, 1860–1945).

4. Frame size 8.75h x 5.25w, imprint size 6"h x 2.38w. titled "Mar 15 La Place Vendome" with vehicle signed in the print L Robin and also pencil signed in the margin L Robin. Note that 15 Place Vendome is the address of the Ritz Hotel -- perhaps the 2 gentlemen are patrons and the very large vehicle is a Vintage post WWI Rolls Royce.

Note: L Robin is a listed artist from turn-of-Century and early 20C. , probably also worked under the name Maurice L Robin. less
