The elegant timepiece is medium sized with a square form and has been decorated in a traditional Vieillard style featuring vibrant turquoise blue enameled glaze. The clock has been manufactured from glazed ceramic with ornate hand painted decorations and the top features a traditional blue Foo dog figurine. The body of the clock has been glazed in a soft shade of antique pink with hand painted polychrome arabesque patterns. The sides have large turquoise blue Foo dog face masks. It rests on 4 raised feet. The clock has its original wind up and chime mechanism and its face is protected behind a hinged glass and metal cover. The clock is not in working order and requires a service by a professional watchmaker. The original winding key has been lost. The interior has been stamped with the maker's marks.
