Bamboo ribbing structure covered by … more Ceiling lamp, model 33N, designed by Isamu Noguchi. Manufactured by Ozeki & Company Ltd. (Japan.) Bamboo ribbing structure covered by washi paper manufactured according to the traditional procedures. In good vintage condition. Edition signed with stamped manufacturer's mark. Literature: Isamu Noguchi: Sculptural Design, Eisenbrand, Posch and von Vegesack, pg. 153 Catalogue of Latest Akira, Ozeki, pg. 30. Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988) was one of the 20th century most important and critically acclaimed sculptors. Through a lifetime of artistic experimentation, he created sculptures, gardens, furniture and lighting designs, ceramics, architecture and set designs. His work, at once subtle and bold, traditional and modern, set a new standard for the reintegration of the arts. Chair is not included. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
