Jean Varoqueaux’s workshop, “La Poterie Périgordine”, is known for having produced the famous and magnificent casseroles sold for the benefit of Joséphine Baker’s “Les Milandes” orphanage. Here, it is a charming elongated vase in bright red-orange colors on a black enamel background. The ceramic has a nuanced and textured glaze and an original geometric shape.
The ceramic is interesting, a significant shine can be noted on the reverse side. It is signed “La Poterie Périgordine” on the reverse.
