German wax baby candy container from the late 19th century. A realistically formed egg of paper and plaster with a fully detailed and dressed wax baby nestled inside. Charming subject matter and lovely detailing, down to the hand knitted stocking. The egg lifts from its stand to reveal the candy container within, 1890s, Germany. Measures: 4.5" high x 4".
