This piece is from the early 1900's and is very special as it is longer than most snake necklaces. Women were much smaller then, so most are 13" to 15" necklaces. This necklace is 16" plus the drop for the snakes head. Perfect for most women. This snake has a beautiful carved and detailed face with a 0.20 point Diamond on his head. This is marked 750 and weighs in at 24.62 grams of gold. I just love snake jewelry as many of you now but seldom do I purchase these snake necklaces because they are too small for most. Unless they are 16" or better I let them go. This one fits the bill as it is 16" plus the drop for the snakes head. less
