Made in the late 19th century and patent pressed probably by Benson. It is a very clever and effective design. The large hook is for the thumb and the two smaller hooks are for the 1st and 3rd fingers, This is made of brass and by the blackened inside shows it’s used- it is in complete working order and in very good condition.
