This artwork is one of the available artworks in a limited edition of 25 copies for each character from the Diners series by Moldovan artist Natasha Lelenco. In this series, comprised of portraits that can function as both individual pieces or assemblages with other characters, Natasha reflects on the role of family and the power dynamics established at a banquet table as a relational space. The artwork that gives rise to this limited edition of 25 copies was originally crafted in acrylic on wood. This 40x120 cm reproduction on dibond aluminum has been produced using high-quality direct UV printing. Each piece is signed by the artist and numbered on the back About this series, the artist herself has written: "Between individual desire and collective desire, there is an often invisible battle that leaves behind scars of war and collateral damage wherever it goes. The series sets the stage for this battlefield at a banquet table that could be any: the celebration of a family event, Sunday dinner, a gathering among friends\. Any banquet that serves as a pretext to bring to the table (pun intended) how desires, both individual and collective, public and secret, conscious and unconscious, manifest and intersect. The Diners are characters fighting to make being where they are bearable: the chair as a chain, the table as an imposed identity framework. from inhibition to exhibition, from prohibition, inhibition to coercion\. The individual and the group, freedom, power, and autonomy, from portrait to still life, to landscape". This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
