The wood appears to be birch, and is probably from the 50s. This desk has an amazing design, lots of storage, lots of leg room but in a compact frame. Great condition too, just look at all these photos. It looks like it was recently restored to make it a bit darker which honestly look way better than the blond color that I have seen in stock photos. less
