The stark simplicity of the bowl's design, compared to the rampant chinar leaves, flowers and
tendrils on my other copper pieces seems to indicate this bowl may have been crafted in
Persian workshops. This bowl was the work of a master craftsman. Very few solder marks are visible, and the solder is an interesting brass color, not dark grey. I bought it in Islamabad, Pakistan in 1977.
It is very thick copper. The interior is smooth. It may have been cleaned up for sale.
