There are no dings or scratches or bumps. The patina is uniform. It stands perfectly. Extra solder was used at one time on the spout. It is not unusual to have solder show on these old Anglo-Indian pieces. They were not always done with perfect care. I don not feel it detracts from the pitcher. It is part of its folk history. it also indicates age. less

It is made of very thick copper.. You can see that in the rim. The design is very delicate. it must have taken extra hours or days of work.

I think it was made by a master coppersmith for a very fine house that didn't care how much extra it cost. Perhaps it was part of a dowry, a splendid gesture of excess.

Now it is ready for another beginning, hopefully in a household that will appreciate its fine
heritage. less
