Danilo and Corrado Aroldi, the visionary brothers who have left an indelible mark on the world of design. Born in Casalmaggiore (CR) in 1925, Danilo Aroldi, together with his brother Corrado, moved to Milan in 1936. It was in the vibrant atmosphere of Milan in the 50s and 60s that their passion for design was ignited. At the beginning of the 1960s Danilo and Corrado founded the Studio Danilo and Corrado Aroldi – Architecture and Industrial Design. Their innovative creations have earned them a place in the permanent collections of renowned institutions such as New York's MoMA and the Milan Triennale. In particular, their iconic Periscopio lamp for Stilnovo remains a timeless masterpiece, symbolizing their ingenuity and artistic vision.
The collaborative spirit of the Aroldi brothers has led them to collaborate with prestigious brands such as Cassina, Flos, Artemide and Alessi. Their minimalist and elegant designs, characterized by simple geometric shapes and high-quality materials, continue to inspire designers around the world. This table lamp Mod. 490 - Pala, designed by Corrado and Luigi Aroldi for Luci Illuminazione di Interni, Italy 1970s. The lamp has a black lacquered metal structure with a chromed steel rod, and has an adjustable light point. In excellent condition, fully functional.
