Sato Kouson was one of the few female creative Kokeshi makers recognized as a skilled artist in Japan.
This kokeshi features a soft and friendly face, typical of all her dolls. The doll is adorned with a floral motif and an engraved pattern in the wood. Sato Kouson's kokeshi dolls are highly sought after by collectors and each one is a beautiful decorative piece.
The bottom is signed with the artist's signature. This piece has an attribution mark,
