In 1970, Herman Miller handpicked Stephen Frykholm (fresh from Cranbrook) as their first graphic designer. He was tasked to create the HM Summer Picnic poster (Sweet Corn), which instantly became iconic. He designed all the annual Summer Picnic posters from 1970 to 1979.

Offering the rare framed-by Herman-Miller (which they gifted to clients) posters are a real treat. More often found mounted on foam-core / board, assumed by employees. The original Summer Picnic posters are a nice slice of American mid-century modern design, delicious and satisfying!
