A "Botijo" is a traditional Spanish earthenware water jug, designed specifically to keep water cool through evaporation. The Botijo has been a staple in Spanish households for centuries, and its design and function have remained largely consistent. This is in very good vintage condition for age, with a few possible flecks of paint missing. This would be best suited as a decorative art pottery piece, as it hasn't been cleaned internally. This would be fantastic in a bookshelf or kitchen display and holds the beautiful patina of a mid century Mediterranean majolica artifact. This is about 11.5 inches high and 8.5 inches wide at the top. less
