Italian pink alabaster table or table lamp, 1960s. Cubist style body formed by two rounded pieces where the upper part fits into the lower part, which contains the lamp holder. Pink veined alabaster, very difficult to find. Very rare piece.
Alabaster is a warm and cold material at the same time, beautiful like marble but at the same time ductile and malleable like wood, translucent like opaline, which plays with light filtering through its veins, allowing the creation of decorative elements of all kinds characterized by a structural and perceptual lightness.
