The border color is a deep almost black cobalt blue with gold overlay. A beautiful scene of a boy fishing and the fish below. Dates from 1872- 1882 with a CFH/GDM backstamp. A rare plate. This beautiful square plate has a rich cobalt blue border with bright gold Japanese motifs. Made In Limoges, France . It was designed by Charles Field Haviland and Decorated by Gerard Dufraisseix & Morel in the late 1800s. less
