Along the back of the neck and shoulders is a botanical scrolling pattern which enhances the overall appearance. The original cork stopper has disintegrated, so it comes without a stopper today.

The foot warmer could easily be filled with hot sand and placed on the floor of a carriage or sleigh for trips on cold days. It could also be used indoors for the same purpose. When not in use and in its upright position, the vessel presents an intriguing sculptural form.

The glaze is in excellent condition with a small natural glaze-gap from kiln firing on the lower left side of the front. The glaze is mirror-like and clean looking.

This unusual vessel makes a terrific sculptural and curious statement in any modern or traditional decor. See less
