Late 19th century converted oil swag hurricane pendant light / chandelier. Repousse brass base with ornate finial, collar and smoke bell; scrolled / twisted brass cage around a fluted opalescent cranberry glass shade. Suspends from patterned ceiling mount with three chains that can be pulled down or retracted up via pulleys to access the oil reservoir / bulb socket while the shade remains in place - pulley mechanism is functional. Plug in.
