Gorgeous mahogany breakfront/china cabinet, part of the Mario Buatta Collection for John Widdicomb. Manufactured in Grand Rapids Michigan around 1992.
It is a 2-piece cabinet - the bottom credenza, and the top glassed piece that sits on top of it.
The credenza has some scratches from the piece sitting on top of it that could not be photographed.
Fretwork detail and flaming is beautiful. The glass is set into the grills; the grills are not merely an overlay onto the glass. There are 9 glass shelves in total, all with routing at the back to set plates in.
Lights are operated by touching the middle hinge at the right of the piece. There are 3 drawers at the bottom, accessed once you open the doors. The middle drawer includes a silver cloth organizer.

Please see photos as they are part of the description. Additionally, there are a number (5) of chipped off pieces of moldings that I can see trimming the piece. 4 of those pieces would be shipped with the breakfront; 1 (the smallest) is not present. 4 of the 6 doors need to be adjusted, most likely at the hinges, to close properly. Overall, the piece is sturdy and quality built, with no visible damage to the wood. It has always been in use in a climate controlled home. less
