Contemporary background made of subtle layers of thinly glazed white acrylic paints and layers of wax (encaustic) applied on paper in wide swaths with a brush. Beautiful soft neutral colors and transparencies.
Abstraction of a reclining female figure into shapes defined by bold intentional oil stick and charcoal lines.
Oil stick is composed of pure oil pigment creating the richest black color possible. Soft charcoal lines are fixed by the wax applied and dried on top of it. The wax extends over most all the newsprint paper protecting it from darkening over time from light.
Size of paper is 24 x 17.5 inches.

Very good condition. Some very tiny "crackle" lines and ripples in the wax.
Will be shipped rolled in hard cardboard tube.
