Nanna Ditzel trained as a cabinetmaker before studying at the School of Arts and Crafts and then at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. She left in 1946, and the same year she founded her own design studio with her husband Jorgen Ditzel. The Nanny Rocking Chair by Sika Design is a classic design that complements mid-century minimalism. From the Icons collection, the 1969 Nanna Ditzel design is one of the first chairs without legs. Made from durable sustainably sourced natural rattan, skilled wicker artisans bend the cane using methods passed down through generations.

This is a beautiful, like new rattan rocking chair that was almost never used in our home. Pristine condition. Comes with original tag and original cloth bag cover. Purchased for $1595.
