Jaru of California, was a company that product decorative home accessories and gift ware. It was founded in 1965 by Jack and Ruth Lewin in Culver City California
The name Jaru is a combination of the first two letters of the founders first name.
Jaru initially focused on producing ceramic vases and planters, but later expanded to include a wide range of decorative items such as figurines, candle holders and plaques.
Jaru also worked with a number of artists and designers to produce limited edition pieces.
These collaborations included partnerships with prominent figures such as Salvador Dali and the Memphis Group. less
