It was salvaged out of the le Belvedere mansion also known as the le Belvedere Castle this house was featured in Forbes magazine and the Wall Street Journal and was listed at $89 million. The chandelier hung in the main level in the hallway that lead to the kitchen and dining room area’s. When building this home they spared no expense, lavishing it with nothing but the best. I have seen reproductions of this chandelier but nowhere near as beautiful as this one. The top features two women with the swan and when it was removed it is marked Meissen underneath very clearly. That is probably the best part about this light, it is true Meissen porcelain which we have seen marked at a very high price. There is great detail to the bottom of the chandelier featuring hand painted detailed murals with what looks to be trimmed in 24 karat gold paint. This light appears to be in overall good condition I did not notice any breaks or repairs the only thing I noticed was on a few of the flour globes is some slight chips at the tip but nothing major. Also, I am not sure of the lights true age but I do believe that it is old. I put 1960s just to be safe. less
