He was born in England also lived in California. This oil painting depicts a California scene with the beautiful autumn colored trees, reflected in the lake. Probably why this painting is called Crystal Lake?
It was most likely painted between 1950 and 1970. This original shows the bright colors he was known for with and noticeable deep brushstrokes. It is signed by Robert Wood in the left lower corner. The back of the canvas has his rubber stamp mark with his reproduction rights and the penciled written name of the painting.
Without removing the canvas from the frame, the actual size of the picture is 16 inches width, and 12 inches height. less
