Hopi polychrome seed jar finely painted with feather migration pattern. Signed by Clinton Polacca of the Nampeyo family of potters from Hopi Pueblo.

Hopi migration pot by Clintion Polacca Nampeyo. Clinton Polacca “Nampeyo” was born in 1958. He is a part of the Corn and Kachina Clans of the Hopi-Tewa Tribe. Clinton was taught the art of making pottery by his grandmother Fannie Polacca Nampeyo. His great-grandmother was the original Nampeyo of Hano. He started making pottery in the mid-1970’s. Clinton uses natural materials for his paints and fires them traditionally outdoors.
